Dwalile Primary School Library

We are very excited to be partnering with Books for Africa! Their goal is to "end book famine in Africa" by collecting, sorting, shipping, and distributing books to students of ages in Africa. Working with the local Peace Corps volunteer they are establishing a library at the Dwalile Primary School in west Swaziland. We are passionate about this project to support education and provide books to children to improve their lives!

Having the ability to read books, due to adequate lighting, is essential for these young students to be able to learn
— Fran Crotty, SKFC Board Treasurer

As we install the system we plan to teach the Dwalile Primary and Secondary students about solar and the potential this source of natural energy has for improving lives in their village.

Equipment

As part of this project, we are donating and installing a 900-watt solar system that will provide electricity for lights and plug-in outlets for two computer laptops in the school library. The laptop computers will be used for cataloging the library books. We plan to work with the local Peace Corps volunteer to install the library solar system in the spring of 2018.
